Some days ago one of my friend gave me a link of this site which proclaimed to publish poems of authors who are in need of a publisher and not getting one easily.
After writing to them they came back to me saying they can do it …but at a cost and they were like too high to bear, at least for me! Course they have detailed out what all they will be doing to publish the book. Like pre-release write-ups, posters, brochures…the list is long to mention here.
And then this thought struck me that can a group of poets come together and publish a book of their poems? And I said to my self, why not?
And so I am beginning to write to some of my friends, beginning with you. This will obviously cost us some money but the costs can be kept low, as printing in Mumbai is very economical. How much it will cost us, will depend upon how many of us will be joining hands to do this!
At the same time, we will keep the number of contributors to the bare minimum. In my opinion it could be about 6 to 8 writers...

Last week we had gone to Gorai beach, Mumbai for a fun weekend. We all did have a good time indeed but that’s not what I wish to say here, it’s something else.
As we reached a little late in the day, most of the shacks that house groups, were booked. And since we were carrying a lot of stuff like eatables, games and so on, we could not move around the place comfortably. And so the need to keep all that somewhere, in one place. We approached one resort and they said a place can be arranged for but by evening. And so requested them to keep some of our stuff at their place and they agreed! That is the time we saw strange things happening…
No, this is not a mystery as such…on the contrary! What we saw was, that all over the place there were youngsters, who had come either on mobikes or by road and were staying in rooms. Some for two or three hours, some for the whole day and some overnight! Can you imagine our plight? When we witnessed the whole lot of twenty-something spending time together, behind closed doors?
